The legend of the Monster with the Feet Upside Down

    This is the case of a soldier, who is part of a family in the south of Quintana Roo and who told his story about the terrible being that everyone talks about throughout this peninsular region, but that nobody knows for sure what it is. What is it about? Is it a human? Will it be an animal, the combination of these two, a terrible monster, a calamity or a terrible evil?

    A little more than 50 years ago, the city of Cancun began to be built, at first this city was thought only for tourists; however the people who cared for these tourists needed a place to stay, it is natural that later the city will begin to grow, but at first it was all jungle, and it was when a group of soldiers were sent to this. However, the night seized them and they had to improvise a camp, open some tents and others they formed around there, they lit a bonfire and one stayed awake to stand guard.

    It was close to 1 a.m., when the soldier on guard named Armando, began to hear some strange noises in his sleep, they were birds that fluttered while making noise as if they were terrified, he thought that some jaguar had attacked one of his prey and for that they had taken flight, however this was not the case since those sounds were repeated more and more and they approached them, the birds that were in the area began to despair as well.

    At that moment, he decided to wake up his companions, who were not more than 10, one of them approached and told him to wake up that something was coming and not to make noise, he passed the information and woke up the next and this one the next, so until the ten were awake, you could hear how trees fell and as a few steps approached, they did not know what to do at that time because despite being trained, they never thought that in a dense and thick jungle there would be enemies so dangerous that even the animals in the area will run away.

    Suddenly a terrible smell took over the area, a mixture between excrement and cold blood, combined with damp earth and mold, this meant that what was coming would be bad since it was some type of animal that nobody knew, the young soldiers began climbing the trees, one by one until they were safe.

    However, one of them called José, had the misfortune to step on a dry branch, it broke and the term on the floor of the jungle unconscious, by this time everything was too late since that thing was very close. Suddenly they began to leave deer, tapirs and even a jaguar running in terror from the jungle.

    This being appeared, this creature with an angry face, huge teeth and about 4 meters high, hairy body, humanoid in appearance, but with a unique characteristic, it had the feet backwards, this did not allow it to walk or move so fast. However, the size of his legs gave him a greater advantage, this being of terrible appearance. It had in one hand a piece of a deer. Terror seized everyone, especially because this creature passed near José. However, he did not move and that being ignored him completely.
